VET Delievered for SEcondary Students (VETDSS)
The Vocational Education and Training Delivered for Secondary Students (VETDSS) Program gives students the opportunity to learn a profession while still at school. By participating in a VET program, students learn the skills and requirements of a particular job through a local registered training organisation, and may complete a number of work placements during the year to gain industry knowledge. Upon successful completion of competencies within the chosen industry qualification, students will receive a qualification for full completion or a Statement of Attainment for competencies achieved. Depending upon the number of units of competencies completed, students will receive credit towards their NTCET. Casuarina Senior College, in partnership with other Registered Training Providers, are able to offer a wide range of vocational programs across a variety of industry sectors, including, but not limited to automotive, beauty business, hospitality and retail. The courses offered each year, as do the program lengths.
More detailed information on each program is available from the VET Coordinator or Career Advice Centre.
