On Sunday, 4 June, Casuarina Senior College Clontarf students and teacher, Laura Carson, completed the City2Surf.

Seven students from the Casuarina Clontarf Academy undertook the 12.6km ConocoPhillips City2Surf. Year Ten students, Brian Cooper-Kenyon and Jacob Reid, Year Eleven students Greg Hunt, Chris May, Chris Thomas and Scott McCurry-Parriman and Year Twelve student Tymunna Clements-Saywell, joined ConocoPhillips employees as part of their team and donned the team running shirt and Clontarf caps.

All of the students ran well and completed the full twelve kilometres, with Tymunna Clements-Saywell finishing with a time of one hour and six minutes, followed by Scotty Parriman with a time of one hour and eight minutes.

A big thank you to ConocoPhillips for including the Clontarf students in their team and an even bigger thank you to Laura Carson for covering the absence of the Clontarf staff on the day.

Casuarina Senior College builds a culture and environment where young adults are confident to take responsibility for their learning. This environment is developed through mutual trust, respect and care between students, staff and the broader community.
