Course Description

Fashion and Textile Design provides an opportunity for students to gain ‘real world’ design experience, working with industry professionals and showcasing their work publicly at NTEEN Fashion Awards.

This course is suited to students interested in textiles, interior and fashion design, and those wishing to study these areas further or at university.

Students develop their visual literacy and undertake analytical and critical thinking and writing skills.

Students learn the design process utilised in the development of garments, accessories, textiles and technologies.

Students also learn the techniques required to create illustrations, textile construction and embellishment, and pattern and clothing construction.

Students are given opportunity’s to develop their construction and designing skills, to work to a brief responding to client and/or market needs where possible, to create a final product.
