Course Overview
Stage 2 Chemistry builds upon skills and knowledge developed in Stage 1 Chemistry. Stage 2 Chemistry is suited to students interested in pursuing careers in the medical sciences, such as becoming a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or working in other health-related professions.
Students extend their knowledge and understanding of how the physical world is chemically constructed, the interaction between human activities and the environment. They continue to explore examples of how scientific understanding is dynamic and develops with new evidence and technologies, whilst undertaking practical investigations and analytical tasks.
It is a requirement that students successfully complete 2 semesters of Stage 1 Chemistry if they wish to enrol in Stage 2 Chemistry.
