Year 10 at CSC is about exploring new interests, developing independence, and preparing for the opportunities of senior school.

Courses and Pathways

Our Year 10 curriculum combines core subjects with a broad selection of NTCET Stage 1 electives, giving you the freedom to explore what inspires you most.



You’ll be guided by expert teachers who bring real-world experience and a passion for their subjects, and you’ll learn alongside motivated peers who share your curiosity and drive.

Learning with Independence

At CSC, we treat you as a young adult and support your growth into an independent learner.


There are no bells to mark the start or end of classes. Instead, you’ll manage your own flexible timetable with study periods that encourage responsibility and self-direction.

The school day runs from 8:30am to 3:00pm, providing structure while still allowing freedom in how you manage your time.

Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF)

A key part of Year 10 is the Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF) program, an opportunity to reflect on your strengths, interests, and goals.


Through EIF, you’ll:

  • Explore potential career pathways
  • Identify subjects that align with your ambitions
  • Build confidence in making informed choices for Years 11 and 12

Preparing for Senior Success

To help you prepare for the challenges of senior secondary education, you’ll complete formal examinations each semester in subjects that lead to Year 12 exams.


These experiences build your exam confidence and help you develop the study habits and resilience needed for academic success.
