The Smith Family – Learning for Life

The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity dedicated to helping young Australians experiencing disadvantage thrive in their learning.

Stars Foundation – Empowering Young Women

The Casuarina Senior College Stars Program, delivered in partnership with the Stars Foundation, provides full-time, in-school Mentors for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women.


The program supports students to make active choices that help them realise their full potential in all aspects of their development and wellbeing.

It focuses on four key areas of personal growth:

Using a strengths-based approach, Stars Mentors help students build on their individual abilities, talents, and interests — empowering them to succeed in school and beyond.

Clontarf Academy – Inspiring Young Men

Established at CSC in 2009, the Casuarina Clontarf Academy supports Aboriginal male students to reach their full potential and succeed throughout their secondary education.

The Academy offers a dynamic mix of opportunities, including:

Sporting activities such as AFL, rugby league, cricket, and basketball — with regular competitions against other Clontarf Academies

A buddy program with local primary schools

Health education sessions, leadership programs, and employment-readiness workshops

Beyond school life, the Academy builds strong community and business connections through gardening initiatives, community fundraisers, and workplace visits — helping students develop leadership, teamwork, and a sense of purpose.
