Course Overview

Stage 2 Japanese continuers course is designed for students developing their skills to communicate meaningfully with people across cultures. Students are given opportunities to develop knowledge, awareness, and understanding of other languages and cultures in relation to their own.


Students interact with others and create texts to share information, ideas, opinions, and experiences. They analyse texts to interpret meaning, and examine relationships between language, culture and identity, and reflect on the ways in which culture influences communication. Students will have studied Japanese for 400 to 500 hours by the time they have completed Stage 2, or who have an equivalent level of knowledge.
