Course Description

In Performing Arts students work both independently and collaboratively to produce performance material, investigate the work of practitioners, and focus on and develop a skill within the Performing Arts of their choosing.

Students achieve this through practical and theoretical workshops and the opportunity to work with industry professionals.

Students will also have the opportunity to take part in the annual Melbourne Performing Arts Study excursion, where they will experience live performances, visit universities, undertake workshops with industry professionals and further develop their knowledge of industry standards and relevant practical skills.

Students may wish to utilise their experience and shows viewed as content for their assessments.

Students taking Performing Arts are expected to perform and rehearse outside school hours.
