Course Overview
Stage 2 Performing Arts is designed to extend the skills learnt in Stage 1. Students deepen their understanding of professional roles and develop a more independent and personal approach to creating and presenting work. This course supports students in exploring and pursuing industry and tertiary pathways in performing arts.
Students extend their skills in performance, design, or production through self-directed and collaborative projects. Areas of focus include creating original work, interpreting existing material, and critically reflecting on creative processes and outcomes.
As a culminating subject, students are expected to take greater responsibility for their learning, including involvement in public performances or exhibitions. Ongoing commitment to rehearsals and independent work outside class time is essential to support successful outcomes and future pathways.
It is recommended that students have successfully completed at least one semester of Stage 1 Performing Arts.
