Course Overview
In Cafe Cooking students focus on developing skills to help them work in a cafe setting.
This hands-on course is designed to equip students with the fundamental skills and knowledge required to prepare and present popular café-style dishes and drinks. This course emphasises both culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Students will learn how to:
- Prepare a variety of café-style dishes
- Apply essential cooking techniques
- Understand and implement basic food safety and hygiene practices
- Learn the basics of being a barista
It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Cafe Cooking if they wish to enrol in Stage 2 Cafe Cooking.
