Course Overview

This Integrated Learning subject, delivered through the Clontarf Program, prepares students for future personal, academic, and employment success by developing practical skills and social capabilities. With a strong focus on the Clontarf pillars of wellbeing, sport, leadership, education and employment, it supports students in becoming work-ready and confident contributors to their communities. Particularly in pathways related to youth engagement, mentoring, or community development.

Students will explore healthy living through nutrition, exercise, and emotional wellbeing; engage in buddy programs that foster planning, leadership, and communication skills; look at family history and origins; and develop an employment portfolio demonstrating job readiness and personal growth. Learning is framed by the Clontarf Pillars, promoting teamwork, discipline, and responsibility across all assessment types.

It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Clontarf if they wish to enroll in Stage 2 Clontarf in year 12.
