Course Overview
Stage 1 Computer Aided Drawing is ideal for students interested in digital design, 3D Modelling and how ideas are brough to life through Computer Aided Drawing. This subject is a great starting point for students considering trade, technical or university pathways the involve digital creativity and technical design.
In Stage 1 Computer Aided Drawing students will use industry software to create technical drawings and designs. A focus is problem solving by creating models, prototypes or visual plans to test the design process. Additionally, students will develop an understanding of ethical, sustainable and legal issues on digital design. This course builds creative thinking, digital literacy and design communication skills.
It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Computer Aided Drawing if they wish to enroll in Stage 2 Computer Aided Drawing in Year 11 or Year 12.
