Course Overview
Stage 2 Computer Aided Drawing is perfect for students interested in digital design, 3D modelling and CAD based communication. It builds advanced skills in creating and presenting design solutions using digital tools and technologies across industries. Career pathways include architectural drafting, interior or graphic design, and engineering.
In Stage 2 Computer Aided Drawing students will use CAD software to design and communicate digital solutions. They will apply the design process to research, plan, model and refine ideas while considering how legal, ethical, economic and environmental factors impact design decisions and communications. This subject promotes creativity, precision and real-world application of the digital design process used in industries.
It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Computer Aided Drawing if they wish to enrol in Stage 2 Computer Aided Drawing in year 11 or 12.
