Course Overview
Through this course, students explore dance as both an art form and a tool for personal expression. They will develop essential life skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, all while learning about dance’s role in different cultural contexts.
Students learn to express ideas through movement, while developing key practical skills in choreography and performance. Students also explore the role of dance in various cultures, appreciating dance as an integral part of cultural expression. Students have to perform in front of an audience and will have ample opportunity to build upon their on-stage presence and confidence.
It is strongly recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Dance if they wish to enrol in Stage 2 Dance.
