Course Description
In Dance students develop choreographic technique and an understanding of dance movement, including the study of posture, anatomy, terminology and safe dance.
Students also learn contemporary dance technique and have the opportunity to experience a range of dance styles including ballet, hip-hop and jazz.
In this course students utilise these skills to choreograph their dances and to think creatively and write analytically.
Students’ group performance forms a large component of this course and students are expected to perform in front of an audience.
Students taking Dance are expected to perform and rehearse outside school hours.
