Course Overview

Stage 1 Performing Arts introduces students to industry pathways across theatre, dance, and live production. Students gain an understanding of how creative industries operate and begin to see themselves as emerging practitioners within these fields. This subject enhances student creativity, communication, teamwork abilities and encourages self-confidence.

Students develop foundational skills in performance, collaboration, and creative thinking through practical workshops and projects. Performing Arts encourages critical thinking and helps students build empathy as they engage with stories and characters and their peers.

This subject supports pathways into Stage 2 Performing Arts subjects and related studies. Students may be required to participate in public performances and should be prepared to engage in rehearsals and creative work beyond class time.
