Course Description

Performing Arts is designed for students who have a passion for performance, both on-stage and/or behind-the-scenes.

Performing Arts is taught with a Drama focus, although this is not restrictive to students who wish to incorporate and build their skills within other Performing Arts discipline’s; Music or Dance.

Students have the opportunity to sing, dance, act, play music or work behind-the-scenes in organising, creating and making.

In this course, students have the opportunity to try a variety of performing arts disciplines, in order to find their niche.

Students learn to create, perform and reflect on their own work, as well as investigating the work of industry professionals, across all performing arts disciplines.

Students also have to work collaboratively to create a performance, therefore building on their communication and negating skills.

Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to attend live performance and/or work with industry professionals, developing their analytical and practical skills.
