Course Overview

Stage 2 Digital Arts - Design is a subject that caters to students who are interested in pursuing a pathway involving Design, Media Arts, or Communication Design.

With teacher support, this is an independently driven course, where students select practitioners to investigate that align with their own digital arts and design interests. Students will build on their practical skills and aesthetics that have been developed in Stage 1 Digital Arts. By engaging in research of historical and contemporary artists, investigating themes and genres, in both their Visual Study and Folio, students will develop deeper understanding of personal, local, global, social and political perspectives. Students develop a range of transferable skills in the arts such as creative and critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.

It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Digital Arts or Stage 1 Photography prior to enrolling into Stage 2 Digital Arts- Design.
