Course Overview
Stage 2 Digital Technology is a subject designed to cater to students who have an interest in pursuing a pathway involving computer programming and technology. This pathway will help prepare students for degrees in Information Technology, Game Design and Computer Science or a career in software development.
In Digital Technology students will develop a range of skills and subject knowledge. Areas of focus include design and programming, computational thinking, iterative project development and data analytics. With the support of their teacher, students will engage in project-based learning to independently develop their skills at their own pace. In addition, students will also develop highly transferable skills such as problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, and collaboration.
It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Digital Technologies if they wish to enrol in Stage 2 Digital Technologies.
