Course Description

In Drama students work on solo and group performance pieces.

Student experiment with the dramatic arts and explore the teachings of a variety of drama practitioners through practitioner’s class visits, active workshops, and analytical writing.

Students experience a range of live professional performance to further develop their critical and analytical skills using drama language.

Students also have the opportunity to take part in the annual Melbourne Performing Arts Study Excursion, where they will experience live performances, visit universities, undertake workshops with industry professionals and further develop their knowledge of industry standards and relevant practical skills.

Students may wish to utilise their experience and shows viewed as content for their assessments.

Students taking Drama are expected to perform and rehearse outside school hours and in public spaces.
