Course Overview
Stage 2 Fashion is designed to extend the skills explored in Stage 1 Fashion Design; however, this is not a prerequisite. Stage 2 Fashion is a subject designed to cater to students who have an interest in pursuing a pathway involving entry to university or to the workforce, specifically in the fashion or textile industry, or broader visual arts.
Students are expected to work independently, developing their ideas into well designed finished products. Projects for example may explore constructed and embellished textiles, millinery, jewellery making and illustrations.
It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Fashion Design if they wish to enrol in Stage 2 Fashion Design.
