Course Overview
Stage 2 Food and Hospitality focuses on the dynamic nature of the food and hospitality industry. Undertaking this course gives students a good overview of careers in this area including chef, wait staff, running a hospitality business, catering and understanding nutrition.
Students develop skills in using technology and safe work practices in food preparation, storage and handling of food and complying with current health and safety legislation. Students also develop interpersonal communication skills as they work together in a practical sense to prepare and serve food in a variety of situations.
It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Food and Hospitality if they wish to enrol in Stage 2 food and Hospitality
