Course Overview
The Stage 2 Health and Wellbeing course helps students build on their understanding from Stage 1 Health andWellbeing and improve health and wellbeing in various situations. It prepares them for future studies and careers in health sciences, social work, community services, and related fields by encouraging critical thinking, ethical understanding, and practical skills necessary for promoting positive health outcomes.
Students will learn about health literacy, health determinants, health promotion, and social equity. They will develop skills in critical and creative thinking, personal and social capability, and ethical understanding. Students will independently and collaboratively work to analyse health trends, make informed decisions, and take action to improve health and wellbeing at individual, community, and global levels.
