Course Overview
This Stage 2 Integrated Learning subject, delivered through the Stars Program, prepares students for future success in employment, leadership, and community involvement. This subject helps students get ready for life after school by building important skills for future study, work, and personal growth. Through the Stars Program, students learn to set goals, plan their careers, and develop confidence, teamwork, and leadership—all of which support a smooth transition into adulthood and the workforce.
Students will take part in hands-on activities like cooking, running programs for younger students, learning about healthy lifestyles, and celebrating cultural identity through NAIDOC events. They’ll also explore jobs and training through mock interviews, guest speakers, and creating resumes. A key focus is helping students reflect on their strengths and plan their future using the Stars Pillars of wellbeing, education, employment, and community.
It is recommended that students successfully complete at least 1 semester of Stage 1 Stars if they wish to enroll in Stage 2 Stars in year 12
