Course Overview

General Mathematics caters to students who are on an NTCET or ATAR pathway, have achieved strong results in Stage 1 General mathematics and who wish to develop their skills in applying mathematical reasoning.


This course covers financial modelling, networks, statistics, applied geometry and modelling with linear relationships. Students develop strong problem solving skills and become familiar with a variety of problems and data structures with applications in business, in logistics, and in personal financial planning. The course follows the SACE Stage 2 General Mathematics Subject Outline.


It is expected that students have passed both Semesters of Stage 1 General Mathematics or equivalent before enrolling in this course.
